Here’s why this is interesting: a) this is a new way to navigate a perplexing urban issue– how to get around quickly, conveniently, and cleanly– particularly in cities that lack ubiquitous and cross town public transportation; and b) this is another example of distributed networks in action. As the transportation sector evolves, we may well find that we have mini- power plants distributed throughout our cities.
